rev. Cheryl Ford, OMC is a dedicated student and teacher of A Course in Miracles and an Ordained Ministerial Counsellor and Certified Course Facilitator of Pathways of Light Spiritual College.
She currently facilitates the Pathways 22-Course Ordained Ministerial Counsellor Distance Training and offers one to one spiritual Counselling via the telephone and Skype with students from all over the United Kingdom.
In addition, she is the co-facilitator of Miracles in the Midlands a weekly ACIM book study group in Birmingham and delivers spiritually based talks and workshops throughout the UK.
As an experienced teacher, counsellor and course facilitator, Cheryl encourages laughter and self-empowerment and creates a warm, supportive, open atmosphere where participants can feel comfortable to explore and share insights. She is committed to living a life of deep and lasting inner peace and joy and helping others to do the same.
Cheryl's Own Story...
I had been a spiritual seeker my entire life (literally since childhood), going to every church group, esoteric meeting and workshop possible, to reading every spiritual book on the market. You could say I feasted daily at the spiritual buffet line, still I was always hungry and thirsty for more...
In my late thirties however, my life seemed to be at an all time low. I was completely stressed with two children in High School, my marriage was going nowhere, our finances were keeping us up at night, and I just got fired from my job. I felt that I had nowhere to turn and was at the end of my rope.
On the day I was fired, too depressed to go home and face my family, I walked into the local Barnes and Nobles Bookstore. As I sat holding a cup of coffee, I prayed silently to myself for guidance on what to do next with my life... Slowly, I looked up and there, a ray of light was literally shining through the window onto a big blue book that seemed to call me closer. As I went over and looked at the title, it said, "A Course in Miracles."
At first I thought it was some sort of church course that you had to sign up for, but as I pulled the book off of the shelf and began turning the pages, it couldn't have been more the opposite. From that moment I couldn't put it down. It was unlike anything I had ever read before and I knew, somehow I really knew, that this book was the answer I had been praying for my entire life.
With my last few dollars I bought the book, not knowing at the time to just what lengths it would change my life... That was almost 12 years ago. My life today couldn't be any more different than back then. Now, the level of peace, love and joy that I experience each and everyday is astounding. Oh, I still have challenges from time to time like anyone, the biggest difference is now, I never forget to laugh!
